Queensland-based director Mairi Cameron recently released her first feature film, “The Second,” in cinemas nationwide and on the streaming platform Stan in July of this year. The film is among the nominees for Best Australia Feature Film at the Screen Producers of Australia Awards. Mairi has a decade-long career that includes directing short films, music videos, and TV commercials. Her short film “Milk” was officially selected at Cannes, won awards at Palm Springs and Bilbao, and was pre-selected for an Academy Award. She has directed music videos for top Australian artists, such as Washington’s “Sunday Best,” which won Triple J’s ‘Music Video of the Year.’ Mairi has several long-form projects in development, including an adaptation of the American novel “The Secret Lives Of Dresses.”
